`Thornton was an engineer on Xirrinda who helped The Doctor to drive the monorail to the safety of Ortagon City and away from the Rain Of Terror. When a few of the creatures were found on the train, he helped to blow it up, but was bitten during the situation. (NSA: Rain Of Terror)
