Talk:Jean-Luc Picard
Merge discussion
The merge proposal makes sense on its face, but there's a complication: Jean-Luc Picard treats the character as an actual person who interacts with the Doctor and his friends, but Jean Luc Picard treats the character as a fictional character within the Doctor Who universe. Now, I haven't read Syntax, so I don't know whether it uses the unhyphenated spelling (which is technically incorrect, but that's neither here nor there). But if it does, it might be handy to have separate articles, each linked to the other (as at Star Trek and Star Trek (franchise)). Can someone who has the relevant Short Trips volume check the spelling, please? —Josiah Rowe talk to me 00:43, June 30, 2012 (UTC)
Oopsy! I've just double checked Syntax and it is spelt Jean-Luc. Sorry for the confusion there, I was editing from memory at the time. We should discuss how exactly we're going to merge the page though. --Revan\Talk 15:48, July 1, 2012 (UTC)
- Darn. If they'd misspelled the name in Syntax that might have solved the problem. I suppose we'll have to rely on the old "according to one source" hedge. —Josiah Rowe talk to me 22:57, July 1, 2012 (UTC)
- I'd say it should be merged, with the Jean-Luc page having two seperate sections, seperated as ==Syntax== and ==Assimilation== Geek Mythology talk to me 19:51, July 15, 2012 (UTC)
