We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

Infoboxes
Please remember not to remove sections from infoboxes. They may be used later on. Specifically, the mentions segment is particularly important as if it isn't there, users generally put mentions in the appearances section with (mentioned) beside it, which should not happen. Thanks. Regeneration in The Adventures of the Diogee Damsel
Hi :) You recently placed Template:Regeneration stories at The Adventure of the Diogenes Damsel, but the article itself doesn't include the word regeneration at all. Could you please add some explanatory text the article so that readers at least have a sense of who regenerated and maybe even the circumstances under which they did so? I did post about it in the forum. As nobody questioned me, I thought I'd go ahead and take them out (admittedly this may not have been appropriate, I accept). My basis for not considering them companions is that they only appeared in one story. If we were to include characters who filled a quasi-companion role for a story we would have a massive one story section in the companion templates. I mentioned a few examples in the forum, there are lots of characters who you would have to consider companions. Canton is already in the "allies of the Eleventh Doctor" category, which I feel is more appropriate. --TemporalSpleen 12:04, May 2, 2011 (UTC)
