The Bridge was the command centre of the Captain on Zanak.
History
The Bridge contained the controls for moving the planet through space and controlling the mining of planets. The mined planets were then super-compressed and stored within the bridge. The Mentiads and the Fourth Doctor destroyed the engines on the Bridge, preventing the planet from dematerialising and causing explosions in the control room, killing the Captain and Mr. Fibuli.
The Bridge was then detonated with explosives planted by the Doctor; the Mentiads used their psychic powers to trigger the detonator. (TV: The Pirate Planet)
