- The Caecilius family — whom the Tenth Doctor and Donna Noble had saved from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius on 24 August 79 — had resettled in Rome. Caecilius' business was successfully re-established. Evelina was returned to a state of health. She was dating boys, to her father's consternation.
