Thanks for your recent edits! I'm Jimbo, your robot wiki representative! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is actually a great time to have joined, because we're now fully independent, and working on a host of new features!

We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.

British English, please

We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.

Spoilers aren't cool

We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.

Other useful stuff

Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! —  you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:

Series 7

Please do add speculation to the Series 7 page. You done this with two examples, but I cannot blame you. Firstly you put (and possible death) next to the information regarding Amy's and Rory's departure. Please note that is is only, at the moment, speculation that may die, and should also be backed up with a source. Even then it should have been added to the rumours section. The episode note should not contain that detail, even after airing.

Secondly, you added River Song to the cats section. This was without source. Please find a reliable, BBC source that states she is returning before adding it again. MM/Want to talk? 12:42, March 26, 2012 (UTC)

I cannot present the source for River Song, but I do believe that Moffatt confirmed it in an interview a few months ago. He merely said something like "and she [River] is back." --HarryPotterRules1 talk to me 21:36, March 26, 2012 (UTC)

Doctor Who TV

Please see the series 7 talk page about Doctor Who TV. Thanks. MM/Want to talk? 22:25, August 10, 2012 (UTC)

Please don't delete cited material without good cause

At the Brigadier, you recently deleted a whole paragraph of information, presumably because you felt that a recent television episode superseded information from various books. On this wiki, all information from valid sources is judged to be of equal weight. Simply removing cited information because you think it conflicts with televised information is not allowed. If done repeatedly, it could be considered an act of vandalism.

The Wedding of River Song is in apparent conflict with several published stories, in the same way that the DWU presents several different accounts of what happened Atlantis, how the Earth died, or what happened to the Marie Celeste. All information should be presented as equally valid so that the reader can make up her own mind. Thanks :)
