Sylvia was a resident of London and the wife of Bernard. As the player arrived in front of their house, they witnessed them arguing about the Time Shard that Bernard brought in. After some interrogation, Sylvia mentioned that ever since the shard was brought to their house, she would "lose whole hours out of my day [and] hear voices from months ago". Bernard then revealed himself to be an Auton and attacked them. After the player destroys him, Sylvia said that everything began after the Sword and Laurels, Bernard's social club, gave him the shard, and offered to take the player to it.
When they walked into her house, Sylvia mentioned that the door to Bernard's office was locked before more Autons appeared to try and take the shard. The player then beat the other Autons and entered Bernard's office, where she mentioned that Bernard often toyed with the gears on his wall. Some messing about with the gears led them to a hidden room that contained the Time Shard. She begged the player to take it as far away as possible.
Sylvia led the player to the meeting place of the Sword and Laurels, and quickly left, leaving them with the parting words of "try not to die". (GAME: Worlds in Time)
