Energy blaster
The Energy Blasters fired a chain of energy at a fixed point and were developed by the parallel Torchwood to combat the Cybermen. They proved to be highly effective and many of the Cybermens troops were literally blown apart by them. during the battle of Canary Wharf the Doctor managed to adapt the guns so that they could break through Dalek Polycarbide skin. When the humans and Cybermen were forced to form an alliance the Cybermen also used the blasters. At first the guns were effective against the Cult Of Skaro and were capable of disabling their shields and weapons but eventually they adapted their casings to become immune to the energy and the blasters became useless. After her conversion Yvonne Hartman used an Energy Blaster to destroy a number of Cybermen who were attempting to travel back to the parallel universe. Yeqars later Torchwood developed a new and improved version of the rifle, one which could blow apart a dalek with a single shot. These weapons were used by Rose, Jackie and Mickey to fight the invading dalek fleets when the Earth was stolen.
