This is the place to come if you want to be kept abreast of technical issues affecting the wiki. Most of the threads here are simply announcements which shouldn't generate too much discussion. If you'd like to comment upon how technical matters affect contentual policy, please go to the Panopticon.
A lot of technical changes are noted in the community messages which get flashed to every registered user's account. However, not every technical change is really important enough to bother people with a notification. Thus, the best way to keep apprised of changes is to come here.
As of 1 May 2012, there are no plans to archive any of this material. As these are announcements which generally continue to have applicability, the threads will simply be left intact here, until it becomes obvious that there is a demonstrated need for an archive.
