TARDIS prop

Was It just me, or was the tardis prop used in the episode the 9th/10th doctors with a saint john's ambulance logo?. It even made the same creaking noise when he opened the door. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 109.77.169.158 (talk).

I think it's always been essentially the same prop for the modern series. They just spruced it up with a new, brighter blue coat of paint and added the St. John's Ambulance badge for the Eleventh Doctor. The creak is a sound effect; if it disappeared for a while, that just suggests that when the TARDIS "regenerated" in The Eleventh Hour it managed to oil the door, and now the squeak has returned. — Josiah Rowe 04:23, December 26, 2012 (UTC)

Great Intelligence

Just a question (and forgive me, I am new to this)... is the mention of Great Intelligence an error? I do not think its the same "Great Intelligence" as the one with the Yeti... (Of course I am watching now, so I could be wrong). I just want to make sure the reference matches up. Thanks. Hotshot70 05:45, December 26, 2012 (UTC)

It seems to be intended to be the same - note the reference to the London underground in 1967. -- Beardouk 06:31, December 26, 2012 (UTC)
This image (a little more visible when clicked on) probably helps things, too. -- Tybort (talk page) 12:39, December 26, 2012 (UTC)
It is indeed the same Great Intelligence. 78.8.184.207talk to me 12:55, December 26, 2012 (UTC)

Cultural Reference

There is a traditional form of theatre at Christmas in the UK called pantomime. One of the stories is called Jack and The Beanstalk. Jack climbs a majic beanstalk and finds the castle of a giant at the top. The spiral stair with the Tardis on a cloud at the top reminds me of that.

Stairs

Notice how at a point near the clouds, the stair rotation flips? going up, at first clara goes up and to the right, but when she reaches a certain point, suddenly its up and to the left - noticable especially in the shot showing Clara and the Doctor going up and to their left, versus the ice governor at the bottom of the shot. The first wide-shot of the stairs when clara first ascends it, there's an obvious point where they've done the mirror. wots that about?

Digby

Possible thing. Digby here would be what, in his fifties during the events of The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe. (1892 to 1941 - 49 years.) And that episode's location (on the 1941 side) is an "Uncle Digby's" house. Second christmas special in a row, but only a coincidence? I think not. -AlexMcpherson 06:01, December 29, 2012 (UTC)
