Aaron Eddowes attempted to assassinate U.S. President Abraham Lincoln in Richmond, Virginia, the capital of the defeated Confederate States of America, on 9 April 1865. However, he was prevented from doing so by the Fifth Doctor. (PROSE: Blood and Hope)
