The Butler Institute was a human business corporation in the early 21st century. The company was secretly researching techniques for transfering human consciousness into computers as a means of avoiding the hazards of climate change and social collapse around the world. (PROSE: Cat's Cradle: Warhead) The Butler Institute building is seen in The Poison Sky.
Eurogen Company merged with the Butler Institute, to create Eurogen-Butler Corporation, (PROSE: Seeing I) which later became the Spinward Corporation. (PROSE: Deceit)
