Brynblaidd

Brynblaidd (Welsh for Wolf Hill) was a small Welsh village in the Brecon Beacons. For generations, the villagers of Brynblaidd engaged in a harvest once every ten years, in which they would murder and eat strangers who came near their village. Circa 2007, after they had abducted seventeen victims within a thirty mile radius, Torchwood 3 discovered the community, for which Evan Sherman apparently acted as the leader. Soon after, the police arrested the villagers. After this, presumably, this 'tradition' was discontinued. (TV: Countrycide)

• Brynblaidd is not actually named in the narrative. However, it was named in the BBC's original description of the episode, and therefore has appeared in virtually all subsequent TV listings, worldwide. As of March 2012, the name continues to be used on the official BBC Torchwood website.
