Obituary announcements on Main Page
Just wondering what everyone thinks is an appropriate lenght time of time for carrying such announcements on the Main Page. Two weeks? A month? Also should we carry a message of support and condolence for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, as other wikis are doing? --Freethinker1of1 00:40, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)
- I think a month is probably appropriate for obituaries. If the other wikis are carrying messages of support and condolences I think we should too. Anyone else have an opinion?--GingerM 19:48, 25 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Statistics Page

- A Statistics page already exists on this wiki, which is much easier to read and understand, without all the confusing tables and percentages the other one has. I think the one you found is more for the use of the administrators of Wikia, to monitor the activity levels of all the different wikis, making it easier to find and if necessary delete inactive and abandoned ones. --Freethinker1of1 17:30, 17 Dec 2005 (UTC)
Category Organization Ideas
I'm not a regular contributor to this wiki, but I have some suggestions for category organization on this wiki if anyone is interested:
- Rather than lumping inanimate items into "Objects" have separated main categories for things like "Vehicles", "Weapons", "technology" (Gizmos? Gadgets?), etc.
- Merge "Galaxies" and "Planets" into a larger category called "Locations" or "Places"
- Maybe add a category for "Villains" (Good for races like Daleks and Cybermen, as well as individuals like Davros or The Master)
Otherwise, nice looking wiki. I will likely revisit often. --Majikjon 00:17, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Lack of information
This place is one of the worst Wikia sites in hitory. The only decent Wikia sites I can find are Star Wars and Star Trek (Which I hate). Why can't we be like those?-Mr. Personwhohatessigningthesethingsbutdoesitanyway
- Perhaps the wiki just needs more users adding content. You could promoting the wiki if you know any Dr Who fans, or if you chat in any forums where potential users of this wiki might be. Angela (talk) 17:50, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
