The Second Great and Bountiful Human Empire was a political entity with influence in three galaxies. By the 42nd century, it had spread from an overcrowded Earth throughout that galaxy of Mutter's Spiral and two others. These three galaxies were collectively referred to as the Tri-Galactic. The Empire as a whole apparently had detailed knowledge of over 67,000 sentient species and sub-species, and had familiarity with at least 42,000 languages, 47,000 types of weapon, 56,000 vehicles and 81,032 hand to hand physical combat methods.
- Most likely this was also the empire referred to which send out the Walker Expedition. If so, Zachary Cross Flane's remarks about saving the Empire and the Walker Expedition's aim of finding new energy sources would have significance.
- Unless it would refer to the Earth Empire, we know nothing about the First Great and Bountiful Human Empire or about the Third.
- Part of this empire was called Galactic Central. Whether this means Earth, or the Galactic centre of Mutter's Spiral, or something else is unknown.
