- Shown is the Dalek invasion of the strategic planet of Querkus during the time of the Second Dalek Empire. Rich in resources, the planets dominant life form, giant killer trees, had previously prevented the planet being colonised by humans. In spite of early loses the Daleks were more aggressive and ultimately resorted to a cobalt bomb attack on the planet which wiped out all life forms. From the dead planet the Daleks soon established factories from which to launch millions more Daleks.
