British English, please
We generally use British English round these parts, so if you're American, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.

Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

The obituary in The Stage says Malcolm Taylor died on 30 January. What's your source for 6 February? Day of the year pages

Hey. Glad to meet the Angel of Death. (you can call yourself that if you create an account... you know what: copyright Donna Noble) Anyways, to the point: please take a look at the ongoing discussion about day of the year pages. I'd give you a full list of what our new rules are, but you can simply read them here. Just look around; you'll find 'em. But you don't need to, anyways. The reason I'm not compiling a full list just yet. For the moment, you can add information (in fact, please do add information), but please don't touch the formatting. Simply add information according to the format that's already there. Take a look at the month of August or the beginning of September if you're in doubt. (That means day pages contained within those months.) Those are the most up-to-date pages to date (yeah... that got away from me...). If still in doubt, check my edit history to see where I'm at as far as day pages, and base it off that. Either way, I'm just going to have to clean up after you. So please just make my job easier and simply add information, at least until my project is complete.

Hi there. I see that you're doing a lot of edits on Day of the Year pages, but on some of the edits you're changing information incorrectly - the biggest thing is taking, for example the phrase "Episode two of blah blah blah aired" and changing it to "Episode Two" or "Episode 2". One user on here, user:SmallerOnTheOutside, has been working very hard to make sure that all the Day of the Year pages are cohesive and congruent throughout the whole website, and these small changes are really messing up his work.
