- 1919 - Actor Peter Butterworth was born.
- 1933 - Actor James Mellor was born.
- 1944 - Actress Paula Topham was born.
- 1948 - Writer Stephen Wyatt was born.
- 1964 - Writer Robert Gould's script for the future Planet of Giants proceeded slowly. On this day, script editor David Whitaker released Gould from that idea[statement unclear], and requested a replacement story — which would also never reach the synopsis stage. (REF: The First Doctor Handbook)
- 1964 - On the same day, Robert Gould had a story conference with David Whitaker, in which he revealed his idea of plants being at the top of the evolutionary chain, and of "plants treat[ing] people as people treat plants." When his exact idea would used in the script TV: "The Screaming Jungle," Gould would press charges against Whitaker for plagiarising his work.
- 1967 - Episode four of The Underwater Menace was first broadcast on BBC1.
- 1978 - Episode one of The Invasion of Time was first broadcast on BBC1.
- 1980 - Script editor David Whitaker died.
- 1985 - Studio production concluded on TV: Revelation of the Daleks, concluding Doctor Who production for the season. The announcement of 27 February would imply that this was the final production session ever. However, production resumed after eighteen months.
- 2002 - Eighth Doctor Adventures novel Hope and Past Doctor Adventures novel Drift were first published by BBC Books.
- 2002 - The soundtrack to TV: The Faceless Ones was released on CD, with linking narration by Frazer Hines.
- 2003 - Recording for Big Finish audio story Omega began at The Moat Studios.
- 2007 - Recording for Big Finish audio story The Judas Gift took place.
- 2007 - Issue sixty-three of Doctor Who: Battles in Time, including comic story About Last Night, was first released by GE Fabbri Ltd.
- 2008 - Direct-to-CD Torchwood audio stories Everyone Says Hello and Hidden were first released by BBC Audio.
- 2008 - The Time Meddler was released on Region 2 DVD.
- 2010 - Doctor Who Adventures comic story Dead-line was first released in issue one hundred and fifty-two.
- 2010 - Recording for Big Finish audio story Find and Replace took place.
- 2010 - DVD box set Dalek War, including Frontier in Space and Planet of the Daleks, was first released in Region 4.
- 2012 - The Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular was performed twice by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at the Melbourne Convention Centre.
