Beekeeping
Beekeeping was a hobby or profession that included taking care of and exploiting bees. The Doctor claimed to have known many beekeepers in his time including Aristotle, who supposedly never stopped wittering on about the insects. The Eleventh Doctor always assumed that, in his last days, he'd take up watercolour or beekeeping. (TV: The Name of the Doctor) Bernice Summerfield similarly looked forward to such a future: "just staying at home, taking up beekeeping, growing vegetable marrows, something like that."
