Time shift

A time shift is a distortion in the space-time continuum in which two time periods are linked.

St Teilo's Military Hospital was the location of time shifts between 1918 and 2008, which were investigated and ultimatly neutralised by Torchwood 3 with the help of Tommy Brockless. (TW: To the Last Man)
