General Jafrid, a Chelonian, with the Fourth Doctor.

The Chelonians are a race of large, bulky, turtle-like humanoids from the Far Future. Though only coming up to a human's waist, they are far wider and usually heavily built. They have four limbs, each with opposable digits and blunt claws. They have a sharp beak and a hard cranial plate in front of their brain. They are long-lived creatures, usually living for more then 100 years. They also smell like leather. Chelonians are herbivores and eat flowers and seeds, and as such try to live on verdant planets with food sources like this. Chelonians generally have many cybernetic upgrades, such as improved vision.

The Chelonians are an aggressive and expansionist race, though this had slowed down by the end of the Humanian Era. They used special blocks which can be reconfigured from spaceships to buildings.
