From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Kenneth Adam was the Director of Television at the British Broadcasting Corporation, appointed on 28 May 1964. He expressed an early concern that Doctor Who it was dramatically "stupid" for the First Doctor and his companions to always "split up the way they do when danger threatens". He claims that Doctor Who's survival depends upon increasing the discipline amongst its writers, because "even [his] 3½-year-old grand-daughter remarked on it" after the broadcast of "The Temple of Evil" a few days earlier.
