Martin Montague
Martin Montague was the senior presentation producer at BBC 7[1] during at least the first decade of the 21st century. As such, he was the commissioning producer of the radio series that eventually came to be known as The New Eighth Doctor Adventures, featuring the Eighth Doctor and Lucie Miller. He also was the main producer of the accompanying behind-the-scenes documentary, Beyond the Vortex, and was partly responsible for casting Sheridan Smith as Lucie.[2]
Montague had other, somewhat peripheral, connections to Doctor Who. He was the presenter for the September 2007 edition of Big Finish Magazine (#10), a free audio magazine which was made exclusively available to subscribers of the main monthly Big Finish Doctor Who audio stories. He also edited the official BBCi trailers for Scream of the Shalka[3]. As a part of his job, he kept the Doctor Who fan base informed about Doctor Who happenings on BBC7. Consequently, he would occasionally provide reports to the news pages of Outpost Gallifrey and its successors.[4][5]
