Jacob, a student at Park Vale School, had found the Berserker prendant and began to make use of it. The pendant had begun to affect him physically and cause glowing blue lines to appear on one arm.
In Mr. Cunningham's detention, he used the pendant's powers on other students (who bullied him) and then on the teacher, then used the pendant's power to make them forget about it. He then threw away the pendant out of fear when the pendant took control. Rani found the pendant in the boy's toilet to which he had gone to try re-assert his control. (Rani had wondered what had made him act so strangely.) Later he turned up at Rani's house to tell her about the pendant. (SJA: The Mark of the Berserker)
