The Doctor

About Him: The Doctor is the primary alias of a renegade Time Lord from Gallifrey who journeys through time and space with various companions in his obsolete and "borrowed" Type 40 TARDIS. Though largely a believer in non-violent conflict resolution, he was, when absolutely necessary, a great warrior. Indeed, some civilisations in the universe translated the word doctor as warrior, whilst others saw him as a compassionate benefactor, worthy of their admiration and compassion. Numerous good deeds aside, he was indisputably responsible for billions of deaths at his conclusion to the Last Great Time War. From the later years of his first incarnation onward, he had a pronounced affinity for Earth and the human race. After departing Gallifrey, he voluntarily chose to spend time on the planet, choosing it as the place of his exile during most of his third incaration, and even owning property in Kent. Even before the destruction of Gallifrey, the Doctor spent much more time on Earth than on his homeworld.

Currently in his Tenth regeneration, he is the most human-like than he's ever been. Unlike his immediate predecessor, who was plagued by melancholy due to his actions during the Last Great Time War, this incarnation is outgoing, lively and genial; a demeanour that hid the "survivor's guilt" that plagues him since the war. As his life went on, however, the weight became much more pronounced. Unlike many of his predecessors, he tries to have a romantic relationships. He is haunted by companions lost, Love destroyed, enemies believed long-dead, and events that threaten to destroy time itself.

Sexuality: The Doctor is Demisexual. A demisexual is a person who does not experience sexual attraction unless they form a strong emotional connection with someone. The term demisexual comes from the orientation being “halfway between” sexual and asexual. In general, demisexuals are not sexually attracted to anyone of any gender; however, when a demisexual is emotionally connected to someone else (whether the feelings are romantic love or deep friendship), the demisexual experiences sexual attraction and desire, but only towards the specific partner or partners. When describing demisexuality as an orientation to sexuals, sexuals often mistake it as an admirable choice rather than an innate orientation. Demisexuals are not choosing to abstain; they simply lack sexual attraction until a close relationship is formed.

This is why The Doctor is able to love more than one person. He forms deep connections with people and that makes him fall in love with them. He does have sexual desire but it isn't something he generally needs. His mind doesn't go that way. He does, however, desire the lighter side of relationships. He does like kissing and cuddling. He wants that sort of intimacy more than intercourse.

The Doctor is also terrified of falling in love with mortals. He lives in eternity. They wither and die. He is afraid to open his hearts up to them because he knows he'll just lose them in a few years. It makes being in a relationship a bit of a struggle. However, he does have a very particular pattern. He has "stages" or "Layers to peal." It takes him some time to let his guard down with those he falls in love with.

On this Doctor's gallifrey sex was seen as barbaric and unnecessary. Their general feeling were if they reproduced by looming they didn't need to have sex. The amount of years that gallifreyans didn't reproduced sexually caused them to evolve. The prefrontal cortex, the deep limbic system, the anterior cingulated gyrus, and the basal ganglia in the brain changed over time so sexual desire itself dwindled

So, this is also the reason for lack of sexual desire. He was raised to believe it was a shameful act and his biology itself compromises it.

Personality: Cheerful, charismatic and enthusiastic, often at inappropriate times, even when in danger. Genuinely shocked when he was rude or uncouth.

He frequently gets into trouble because of his vast sense of superiority. He regularly provides his name as a threat, which only rarely works, despite his apparent expectations. Filled with righteous anger. When driven by anger or justice, he will act without hesitation to strike down those who opposed him, such as causing the downfall of Harriet Jones. There is an undeniable shadow cast over the jollity of him at these times, and a ruthless, bordering on arrogant personality seemed to take over, one that is almost eerie to behold.

Holds a lot of survivor’s guilt. Beneath his youthful veneer and outward playfulness is a very old man who had seen many terrible things. He feels a deep loneliness and his keen sense of loss leading him to empathize with those who have also suffered.

Has a very forgiving nature and has forgave people such as the master even though they have caused such destruction. However, when his patience reaches its limit his enemies get no second chances.

The Doctor has a very hard time accepting defeat or failure. When he is unable to do something he often is seen destroying things and screaming in anger.

He rarely yells. He rarely screams. He offers you a choice. ‘leave or die’. Those are your options. And sometimes, when the moon is shining and the breeze is right, you leave and he leaves you alone. But most of the time…most of the time you choose wrong and his eyes burn like a thousand dying stars. That is the fury of a Time Lord. he is the man that could end you a second, in the blink of an eye. And choose not to.
