National Gallery was an art museum on Trafalgar Square in London. The museum had a secret annex, the Under-Gallery, which was constructed by Elizabeth I to house any art deemed too dangerous for public consumption. The Doctor was the official curator of the Under-Gallery, although in practice, it was administered by another curator. In 2013, the Eleventh Doctor was summoned to the National Gallery to investigate a disturbance in the Under-Gallery. (TV: The Day of the Doctor)
