Wormwood (Invasion of the Bane)
Mrs. Wormwood was the lead Bane, second only to the Bane Mother, who served as the head of the Bubble Shock! company. She was in charge of overseeing the creation of the Archetype, who later became Luke Smith. She managed to escape the destruction of the Bubble Shock! factory.
Sarah Jane Smith noted that, in the Book of Revelations in the Bible at the end of the world a star called Wormwood will fall to Earth and poison the water. (SJA: Invasion of the Bane)
After the destruction of the bubble shock factory and the death of the Bane mother Mrs Wormwood was blamed for the failure of the invasion and was cast out of the Bane kindred who attempted to eat her alive as punishment. She fled and made an alliance with Commander kaagh. The pair set out to find the last piece of Horath before the Bane agents who already posessed the first half did. Mrs Wormwood kidnapped Gita Chandra in her shop to draw Sarah Janes attention and ask for her help in stopping the banes invasion. They are then attacked by Bane agents but Mrs Wormwood stops them and rescues Sarah Jane. She takes her back to the house and lets her explain why she needs their help. Sarah Jane then has her imprisoned inside a cell whilst she and Rani are away. Eventually Luke takes pity on his 'mother' and goes up to speak with her. Suddenly Bane agents attack the house on all sides and with her sonic modulator weapon drained of power Mrs Wormwood surrenders. However suddenly the Bane advancing on her is shot dead from behind by Commander Kaagh. The pair greet and Wormwood asks if he has obtained the second half of Horath. He nods and the pair begin formulating their plans.
