thank you for contributing![[edit source]]

good of you. --***Stardizzy*** 15:31, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Are you going to create a userpage like most others have? And, also, would you like to join the New Time Lord Order? ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 11:39, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Er, probably. I am honoured to be asked to join the HTL (I take it I should be...?). Not 100% sure I qualify as I am legally required to carry a card with me at all times that indicates my status as an Alien (not making this up), hence my User name. But in principle, yes, thankyou.--Gai-jin 14:12, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
Don't worry. As long as you're part-Human (like me) or humanoid (like the original Time Lords) I think you're safe to join. So if you're going to, then you can add your name to the list of members and create a userpage with something stating you are a H.T.L or a member of the N.T.L.O (New Time Lord Order). ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 15:47, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Rewrite of your userpage[[edit source]]

Erm... yeah, I agree, exactly.

Tries to get head round essay...

Yeah, ther'es nothing wrong with not being serious all the time, and I agree that "Humanian Era" is a bit excessive and pointless in most articles...

Reads more...

Err, yeah, that's it, I think. Oh, and your page's a bit long now, I barely managed to read it, so chances are that few others will. ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 09:03, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for taking the time to read and reply... I appreciate it is a bit long now... can't off the top of my head think what I could really cut without making it too obscure to understand... it's here because I can't think of another logical place to put it - in many ways I think this is a very worthwhile project, and if I posted it off-site I might appear to be suggesting otherwise. I think catharsis is the word I'm looking for...
I'm not arguing in favour of all-out frivolity, just I think that we should be aware that an absolute insistence on bare canon fact in in-universe articles is very not-Doctor Who in a way I (clearly) find it difficult to properly articulate...
Maybe I'll just stick to out-of-universe articles and grammar polishes for a bit... --Gai-jin 09:25, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Humanian Era and the non-inclusion of[[edit source]]

Just wanted to add my support to the question of 'why?' for Humanian Era. Really never saw the point in including it. It is mentioned here and there, but hardly enough to adopt as our standard...that's all...--Tangerineduel 11:31, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Well quite (looks like I have hit a nerve). On top of all the other reasons, equating the (ugh) Humanian Era with the AD calendar sort of implies that all the cultures who've retained their own dating system are somehow insignificant (maybe I'm just sensitive cos I live in one!).
('Human Era' and 'Rassilonian Era' would be marginally less annoying, but (as with so much else from the TVM) it's as if they went out of their way to be irritating...)

Christmas cheer[[edit source]]

Happy holidays!

As this fiftieth anniversary year comes to a close, we here at Tardis just want to thank you for being a part of our community — even if you haven't edited here in a while. If you have edited with us this year, then thanks for all your hard work.

This year has seen an impressive amount of growth. We've added about 11,000 pages this year, which is frankly incredible for a wiki this big. November was predictably one of the busiest months we've ever had: over 500 unique editors pitched in. It was the highest number of editors in wiki history for a year in which only one programme in the DWU was active. And our viewing stats have been through the roof. We've averaged well over 2 million page views each week for the last two months, with some weeks seeing over 4 million views!

We've received an unprecedented level of support from Wikia Staff, resulting in all sorts of new goodies and productive new relationships. And we've recently decided to lift almost every block we've ever made so as to allow most everyone a second chance to be part of our community.

2014 promises to build on this year's foundations, especially since we've got a full, unbroken series coming up — something that hasn't happened since 2011. We hope you'll stick with us — or return to the Tardis — so that you can be a part of the fun!
