Frey in Norse mythology was an important god of the Vikings. In Old Norse, "Frey" meant master and the Doctor and Jo Grant found out when meeting Odin, Thor and other gods of Norse mythology, that Frey was actually the Master, who is out to get Gumnir, Odin's time-controlling spear, in the Sweden of the year 141.
