Thanks for your recent edits! I'm Jimbo, your robot wiki representative! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is actually a great time to have joined, because we're now fully independent, and working on a host of new features!

We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.

British English, please

We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.

Spoilers aren't cool

We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.

Other useful stuff

Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! —  you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:

Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:
~ ~ ~ ~

Thanks for becoming a member of the TARDIS crew! If you have any questions, see the Help pages, add a question to one of the Forums or ask an admin.

Recent Edits

Hi, please do not edit the main page unless you know the extent of the effects the edits will cause. For instance the number of articles is fed from the Special:Statistics and therefore updates itself, rather than a wikilinked number. Please use the Sandbox if you wish to experiment with editing and using wikistyle. --Tangerineduel 13:07, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

Problems

As you were able to leave a message on my talk page it would suggest other wise (page history states that you were logged in when you left the message on my talk page).

However, I've had a look around and it's most likely a problem with wikia in general (or one of the methods through which it's all delivered to you...or something). Your problem may also have something to do with the browser you're using, it to crop up in Firefox 3 often (though that's what I'm using and it's fine) and I've just tried logging in in Safari and it also works.

Also according to what I've read it might have something to do with the cache (or might not). Try any/all of the following:

  • Shift-F5 (or hold shift and push reload or refresh depending on the browser).
  • Clear your browser's cache.
Hope this works, if not head on over to Wikia Help (sort of the top level help for all the wikias. --Tangerineduel 15:06, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Compression problems

Hello, I'm [[User:Uberfuzzy|Uberfuzzy], from the Community Team.

We noticed that you were having problems with logging in due to some error message about a server problem.

Can you please let us know what Operating system (Windows? XP? Vista? OSx?) and what browser and version of that browser, you were using when that error message showed up?

Was this a 1 time error? Is it only on this wiki? Is it only this username (I see you are using XFactor1a also). Are you able to log into Wikia Central (www.wikia.com) fine? Can you try logging into wowwiki.com also (dont worry, its a wikia site)?

Any information you can provide our technical team will help resolve this issue.
