Doctor Grace Halloway was an American cardiologist and the first companion of the Eighth Doctor. Called in to investigate the Seventh Doctor's heart, she accidentally killed him with a heart probe.
Biography
When the Doctor later regenerated Grace at first refused to believe he was the same man, but gradually she got proof.
She was possessed for a short while by the Master during which time she betrayed the Doctor. She later unwillingly opened the Eye of Harmony inside the TARDIS.
In the end she decided not to go with the Doctor. The Doctor departed in the TARDIS and each of them went their separate ways.
Grace expressed an interest in Puccini music and daVinci art. She was also the girlfriend of one Brian for a while.
