I've heard some people say that the Valeyard idea is being dropped in what they call 'NuWho'. The proof against this though, is that the Doctor attended the trial of the Valeyard and that Yog-Sothoth mentioned him. I mean, I know this is Big Finish and all, but come on! They did it with the knowledge of what is currently happening in the Whoniverse.

My theory is that in his next to penultimate incarnation the Dream Lord approached him as he was dying. He then said that he could save the lives of everyone in the universe, if he swore his life to him. He refused, but after he regenerated he agreed. So he swore his life to him. When at long last he killed the Last Doctor on Trenzalore he realised that he had no purpose without trying to kill the Doctor and died. The Dream Lord released him as he had spent his entire life being his body. I'm 108--12.230.34.138talk to me 02:30, February 13, 2014 (UTC)
