The Waiter was a Clockwork Droid who "worked" at Mancini's Family Restaurant. He asked the Twelfth Doctor and Clara Oswald for their order, until the Doctor realized that the menu was blank and that they were the menu. He then proceeded to rip off the Waiter's face, revealing its metal interior, and then the Doctor asked if there was a children's menu. He insisted to Clara that the face was really human, and then arms bound them to the chair and the two started to sink into the bowels of the crashed SS Marie Antoinette. The Waiter ended the conversation with these words: "Yes, we have a children's menu." (TV: Deep Breath)

Behind the Scenes

The Waiter is played by Graham Duff, who voiced Mr. Baggit in the Doctor Who Unbound audio story Exile and wrote the Big Finish Doctor Who audio story Faith Stealer.
