Warningedit source

Be careful. Some of your edits appear to be vandalistic.

Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions here, please review our vandalism policy and consider whether all your edits have been made in the spirit of that policy. Mini-mitch\talk 16:28, May 4, 2011 (UTC)

To the user who placed this tag: This message is pretty general and should usually be avoided. Please use one of the messages at warn list, or write a brief message of your own that tells the user specifically how they can improve their editing.

Never removed another users's contribution from a talk page. This is vandalism and you will be blocked from editing this wiki. I have rolled back the edit.

Admin requestedit source

Hey, it's great that you want to get involved in the community, but don't you think you should wait a bit. It seems that you only have a handful of edits, compared with other users who have thousands. Of course, edits don't make the man, but nor have you become particularly involved with other users. In fact, the only message on your talk page is a vandalism warning, which is a bit worrying. Basically, I think you should check back with me in six months or so, but until then, keep contributing!--Skittles the hog - talk 20:26, September 10, 2011 (UTC)

Don't Put Picsedit source

Check the history. I didn't put the image there. Raven's wing 11:05, September 11, 2011 (UTC)

All images must have licensesedit source

Today you uploaded at least File:Alexa-havins-torchwood.jpg which did not have one of our Copyright templates. Because you're new here, I've auto-added a license for you. As you're an admin elsewhere on wikia, I'm going to assume you know how to use the licensing dropdown at Special:Upload. Please note that our tardis:image use policy, the current revision of MediaWiki:Community-corner and Help:files all make plain that unlicensed photos are subject to deletion without warning. Please remember to always add a license, if you want your work to persist on this wiki. If you have any questions about how to add a license template, please contact me or any of our active administrators.

Spoilersedit source

I have recently removed an image you put up which included an SJA character who has not yet appeared in a released episode. Put simply, we consider a spoiler to be anything about an unreleased story. Information about such things is only allowed within namespace 0 on the appropriate series page (and namespace 112, The Howling). Pictures are within an entirely different namespace, and therefore not allowed. Please read tardis:spoiler policy.

A lot of people think that if something has been officially released by the BBC, like your SJA promotional shot, it's therefore not a spoiler. We don't. For us, the source is irrelevant. We think that even the "next time" trailers at the end of episodes are spoilers, and images from them certainly can't be used on the site. Thanks :)

Video policy violation means you're blockededit source

Please be aware that Talk:Series 5 (SJA) is in namespace 1, and Series 5 (SJA) is in namespace 0. The only place where spoilers are allowed is in the article itself, not on the talk page. Your pics have been deleted from that page as well.

Worse you've put up a video there, which is not only in violation of the spoiler policy, but also the tardis:video policy. All videos must be from the copyright holder's account on YouTube, and this Video:Sarah Jane Adventures - Series 5, Trailer 1 is not from the BBC or CBBC's account. It's from some account called "PremeierChannel1999" who snipped it from doctorwhotv.co.uk. So, it's totally against policy.

We take the video policy very seriously. This is why the policy says,

you may get a warning on your first offense — but don't count on ittardis:video policy

Taking into account your several recent offenses in addition to this latest discovery, you will not be allowed to edit again until 5pm, BST, 4 October 2011. This punishment seems to fit "the crime", in that you will be prevented from editing until after the first serial of SJA series 5 has finished broadcasting on CBBC.

In the meantime, please do spend some time reading our policies. If you wish to protest or ask questions, you still have editing privileges on this page.

Vandalism at user talk:Bobliptonedit source

Please explain both why and how you vandalised user talk:Boblipton with this revision. This massive code dump made the page all but unreadable.

Christmas cheeredit source

Happy holidays!

As this fiftieth anniversary year comes to a close, we here at Tardis just want to thank you for being a part of our community — even if you haven't edited here in a while. If you have edited with us this year, then thanks for all your hard work.

This year has seen an impressive amount of growth. We've added about 11,000 pages this year, which is frankly incredible for a wiki this big. November was predictably one of the busiest months we've ever had: over 500 unique editors pitched in. It was the highest number of editors in wiki history for a year in which only one programme in the DWU was active. And our viewing stats have been through the roof. We've averaged well over 2 million page views each week for the last two months, with some weeks seeing over 4 million views!

We've received an unprecedented level of support from Wikia Staff, resulting in all sorts of new goodies and productive new relationships. And we've recently decided to lift almost every block we've ever made so as to allow most everyone a second chance to be part of our community.

2014 promises to build on this year's foundations, especially since we've got a full, unbroken series coming up — something that hasn't happened since 2011. We hope you'll stick with us — or return to the Tardis — so that you can be a part of the fun!
