Orson Pink

Colonel Orson Pink was a human pioneer of time travel from the 22nd century. He was a descendant of Danny Pink - with which he shared a striking resemblance - and implied great-grandson of Clara Oswald.
When attempting to time travel less than a year into the future, the experiment failed, and he ended up at the end of the universe, where he remained for approximately six months. Despite being alone, he continued to keep the doors of his habitation locked.
He was discovered by the Twelfth Doctor and Clara, when they were using the telepathic circuits of the Doctor's TARDIS. (TV: Listen)
Behind the scenes
- Due to recycling props, the spacesuit Orson wears is identical to those from the 42nd century Sanctuary Base 6 (TV: The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit), one of which was kept by the Doctor and worn on several later occasions. (TV: The Waters of Mars, Hide) There is even a shot during the episode where the 'SB6' patch on the suit is clearly seen. It is possible that the suit itself is an heirloom, and that Danny or Clara acquire it from the Doctor at some point and hand it down to Orson.
