We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

What I like in Doctor who
Hello every body I am a true fan of Doctor who and all its spin-offs. Such as Torchwood and the Sarah Jane adventures. What pages I like to edit. I like to edit as much as possibley can. I would like to Edit after an episode has been broadcast. But I have a few good pionters for any one who looks at this page. Make Templates for
- Space Ships
- Citys
- Alien Races
- Battles and extraterestrail events that have happened such as the Adipose beem or the Slitheen insisdent.

- Rose Tyler
- Donna Noble
- and of course the Doctor
Recent edits
Looking at some of your recent edits, all in-universe articles should be written from a past tense point of view. Out-of-universe articles should also be written from a past tense point of view within reason (for instance actors who are still alive should be written in present tense). Additionally, it would help not to create pages for people who have yet to appear in episodes as we currently do no know the full names of characters (titles are not names and therefore should not be included within the wikilinks). Also on a side note your above notes would perhaps be best suited to User:Catkind121 (your user page, rather than here the talk page). --Tangerineduel 17:32, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
What did I do wrong?
Excuse me but I recently added some categories to the Jenny article and could not help but notice that you removed them when you made your edits (good job on that by the way). I don't feel angry or upset about this but I really would like to know why you removed them so I can avoid making potential mistakes in the future, Thanks in advance. -- Omegabrain 19:12, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
Wikilinks / tags in real world articles
Just curious as to the reasoning behind tags such as (<!-- *{{Wikipedia|}} -->, <!-- *{{imdb name|id=|name=}} -->, <!-- [[Real World|]] --> etc) you may have noticed they don't do anything. Please don't add them they generally just make the edit box cluttered and hard to edit. To add a wikipedia link, inline it is [[Wikpedia:Wikipedia article name|Words you wish to appear in article]] (example: Agatha Christie), for a wikipedia box that links out it is {{wikipediainfo}} example: see the DNA article for an example of the wikipedia link box. Re prop delete on Ella McAvery article
(This discussion should really be carried out on the article talk page). The answer is in how the article is written, they're fictional concepts, created for Donna and Lee, they weren't characters in and of themselves. As such I didn't see the nessecity of them. Additionally should they be kept, how should they be categorised? They're sort of Category:Fictional characters but not in the commonly accepted manner, they're sort of Category:Personifications of concepts but not really either. I suppose they could be categorised in Category:51st century individuals, but the question is are they individuals only when we see them at the end with Song? As the rest of the time they're fulfilling a role to keep Donna and Lee sated and safe? --Tangerineduel 14:34, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

- I'm sorry about Prisoner of the Daleks, I was going through the recent new pages and sometimes only spare some pages a quick look. As for infoboxes, it's very easy to go to a novel page, copy the infobox and then paste the copied infobox into the new page, then substitute the information from the copied infobox with the information you wish to place in the article. --Tangerineduel 12:53, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
- To assist in the page layout of new novel pages you can also just copy the whole of a page (not just the infobox) and substitte in the information you wish to add, rather than the mix of TV and novel styles in your recent Judoon novel addition. Leaving messages on User's user page
Please be aware when leaving messages for other users to leave it on their talk page, it is not considered good form to alter a User's user page (it also is noted in our Tardis:Vandalism and Unhelpful Content Policy). Battle pages
HIya :) Got your message. I would've thought the rationales given on the talk pages would have explained that I'm not actually deleting the pages. I'm not an admin and don't have that power, anyway. All I'm doing by flagging these battle/event pages is to try to create debate. Logic demands that if Talk:Skirmish at Tranquil Repose now has wide support for deletion, many of the rest need to be culled as well. A quick look at their "What links here" pages shows that most are basically stale pages (i.e., they're largely unused in other articles). I mean, c'mon, "Battle on the Dalek Saucer"? That's a totally invented name. Most editors wouldn't think for a moment that such a page exists, so they wouldn't link to them. And the reason they wouldn't think they exist is because, in actual point of fact, most of these things don't exist. We've created these articles out of nothing, giving them names where none was given by any script or other source. CzechOut ☎ | ✍ 17:26, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Infobox removal
The infobox didn't add anything to the page, it almost detracted from the page's information. (It also repeated or misrepresented information found on the Gallifreyan page).
There is an infobox for Gallifreyans, who are a 'species', the first sentence of the Time Lords article states that they are 'rulers', the Gallifreyans article also backs this up, 'not all Gallifreyans were members of the august society...'.
Also as the infobox stood the link for notable individuals went to the List of Individual Time Lords, which isn't quite accurate as not all the people in the list are technically 'notable'. --Tangerineduel 12:57, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
Re - The Message you left on my discussion page
Hello, my intention was never to vandelise, the pages I edited only to remove the character that had no pages, I find it silly to type something, allow to be linkable and than link it to nothing, yes I could have editied the links and made pages but I have not read the books. I am not looking to get into an arguement simple just present my reasons for editing. Bigshowbower 05:48, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
Aliens template
I appreciate your contributions but I do not think that the aliens templates belong on the story pages but on the aliens pages. I will therefore remove them from those pages and place them on the pages where they belong. Doug86 11:22, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
