Born Robin.E.Squire, Robin portrayed the lead Auton in Jon Pertwee's debut story Spearhead from Space (TV story). In 2014, Robin released an autobiography about his time as an Auton called The Life and Times of a Doctor Who Dummy which explored how he got to be lead Auton when the original actor hired got afraid of being in the costume and couldn't do the filming.
