Robin Squire

Born Robin E. Squire, Robin portrayed the lead Auton in Jon Pertwee's debut story Spearhead from Space Squire also served as an assistant script editor for this episode. Robin appeared in four more episodes of Doctor Who since then. He played a BBC Three TV cameraman in parts one and two of The Daemons in 1971. In 1980 he played a starliner dweller in Full Circle (TV story) and in 1981 he played Pharos Project Boffin in Logopolis (TV story).Robin Squire was uncredited in all of his appearances on the series. In 2014,Robin released his autobiography about his time as the lead Auton called The Life and Times of a Doctor Who Dummy which explored how he got the part of the Auton when the original actor hired got afraid of being in the costume and couldn't do the filming.
