Ford Transit on TARDIS Data Core[[edit source]]

Even if the Ford Transit pickup truck is never named and there is no indication of its model type, Custom, given on-screen, surely some older viewers will recognize the vehicle and remember it from the 1970s? After all, Ford Transit vans and trucks are still being used today.

Similarly, UNIT's black Jaguars, as featured in The Invasion, were never referred to by name on-screen, but I'm sure viewers of a certain age watching the story on DVD recognized them immediately.

Even if Ford Transit never appears in Doctor Who again, its page should be retained on TARDIS Data Core due to the unusual way it was used in the show. After all, it's not often that a then modern Ford Transit turns up on what was actually another planet. -- Freddie R. Aldous 20:52, October 31, 2014 (UTC)

It has no in-universe precedent. By that logic, you could have a page for David Tennant in-universe saying he was a bloke who looked like the Doctor. Or one saying Paul Casey once walked around Downing Street in a Slitheen costume. I'm not sure what you're getting at when you mention the "unusual way it was used". That's not relevant. If there was a badge visible saying Ford Transit then that would be different, but the name has been pulled from the real world, which is at odds with our policies.--Skittles the hog - talk 21:22, October 31, 2014 (UTC)
