Kirid

Kirid was a native of Jevo and the commander of the expedition to spray the plants of Arides with poison, thus preventing the spread of its deadly pollen dust through space. Despite the reluctance of his crew, he followed sealed orders to cross unexplored regions of space, which took his ship near Skaro. Captured by the Daleks, Kirid convinced them through a ruse that the Arides pollen would be a threat to them as well, and they released him. Kirid's expedition made it to Arides and began carrying out the mission, but learned that the Daleks, having discovered the deception, were on their way to destroy them. Kirid chose to complete the mission rather than flee and soon did so, but at the cost of being destroyed by the Daleks. (DC: The Emissaries of Jevo)
