Zick

Zick was the leader of a village in Lebanon.

Zick and the other Christian villagers opposed the idea of allowing the neighbouring gypsies, led by Braughie, to attend the village church service on the last day of the 12th century. According to belief, at that time the dead would appear to those in the church, allowing them a last time to see their loved ones. The Fifth Doctor tried to mediate between the two groups.

When the gypsies sneaked in, they and the villagers started to fight, but when the "ghosts" of aliens encountered by the Doctor appeared in the church, both sides united, and attempted to burn down the church. All the villagers and gypsies died in the fire. (PROSE: The Church of Saint Sebastian)
