Space Florida

Space Florida was a place visited by the Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond. According to the Doctor, the beach had automatic sand which cleaned up any rubbish that had been left on it.
After flying the Pandorica into the exploding TARDIS, the Doctor's life rewound. He saw younger versions of himself and Amy in the TARDIS, one week earlier, during their journey to Space Florida. The present Doctor called out to the past version of Amy, who turned but did not see him. (TV: The Big Bang)
Behind the scenes
- The beach having automatic sand was originally to be used by Steven Moffat in his episode Silence in the Library, before the short scene was cut.
- There is a real organization called Space Florida . It is "an Independent Special District of the State of Florida, created by Chapter 331, Part II, Florida Statutes, for the purposes of fostering the growth and development of a sustainable and world-leading space industry in Florida."
