The "Dinosaur" was the nickname given by Finney to a species of huge reptile native of Skaro. A herd was used by Finney to rescue the Third Doctor from the Daleks. These fought them, eventually killing some creatures. Latterly the herd was driven to the TARDIS. (COMIC: The Planet of the Daleks)
