Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight was a small island located on Earth in the English Channel.

History

A German U-boat which was patrolling the English Channel in 1943 was sent forward in time to October 1964, where it threatened to torpedo the Isle of Wight ferry. Sir Toby Kinsella of the Intrusion Countermeasures Group ordered Group Captain Ian Gilmore and his squad to investigate and render assistance to the personnel of the nearby Lanchester Naval Base. In July 1969, the Second Doctor, Jamie McCrimmon and Zoe Heriot took a holiday on the Isle of Wight. (PROSE: One Small Step...)

By the early 26th century, the Isle of Wight was the site of a penal colony. (AUDIO: Scorpius)
