Max was Mason Valentin's Himalayan cat. When Mason threw the shrunken Tenth Doctor back into the box in which he found him, Max nudged him. When the Doctor batted Max's paw, Max let out a low meow, making Mason wonder what the "doll" was doing to make Max act that way. (PROSE: The Doctor on My Shoulder)
