Retrogressive arc inversion was a mechanism that with the combination of a bio-electric dampening field could reverse the flow of electricity.
The DoctorDonna enabled this mechanism from the Crucible's control console during the Dalek Invasion of Earth in order to prevent Davros from hurting her with electricity. (TV: Journey's End)
