A technician once helped General John Williams use the mind probe on the Third Doctor. She warned the general not to use so much power, thinking it would harm her subject. In the end however, it merely destroyed her machinery, as the Doctor was skilled at defeating mind probe technology. (TV: Frontier in Space)
