David Nkoto was the first officer on a gas dredger captained by Norma Kelligan.

He grew up on Ganymede. Thanks to the Lorannan-Ycole Corporation, he went to university on Io. His loyalty to the Corporation often put him at odds with the ship's helmsman, Robbie MacKenzie. (PROSE: Jupiter)
