Stephen Rix was Patrick Rix's son.
His mother died giving birth to him. That and his atrophied legs drove his father into insanity.
When Arthur brought Ace back to life, Patrick Rix's henchman brought them to him, thinking Arthur could heal Stephen. Unfortunately, Arthur did not have control of his abilities and changed Stephen's legs into those of an insect. (PROSE: Strange England)
