In the 50th century, Felman Lux created the Library, a world-sized library with every book ever written. It ran on a computer core built around Charlotte Abigail Lux, or CAL. (TV: Silence in the Library / Forest of the Dead)

Later, the Library was infected with Vashta Nerada, triggering the central computer to seal it off. All 4,022 visitors on the planet at the time were "saved", their consciousnesses uploaded into her central core. It took a hundred years to crack the seals and send an expedition to find out what happened. (TV: Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead)

At the end of the century, a Weeping Angel was retrieved in Razbahan. (TV: The Time of Angels)

Professor Marius, K9 Mark I and Felman Lux were from this era. (TV: The Invisible Enemy, Silence in the Library / Forest of the Dead)

By this century, phonetic spelling was common in the English language. For instance, "Emergency Exit" was spelled "Emergensee Eggsit" and "Service Elevator" was spelled "Servis Ellyvater". (AUDIO: Revenge of the Swarm)
